The British (collectively the English, Scottish and Welsh, particularly) are a very strange group.  They delight in eccentricity, yet are uncomfortable if ever in the limelight.  They are witty and take pride in the intellect, yet fear confrontation (except when drunk).

Nev  (i.e., Neville)  What can anyone say about Nev?  Speaking with an almost incomprehensible Bowbells (Cockney) accent, the word Chateau comes out as "Shatta".  Blessed with an indescribable sense of (no) taste in apparel and a blind bigotry toward all Germans, he can be witty and funny; and found a very sweet woman to marry him (Teresa).
