Director of International Environmental Health and Safety - London, England

·         Managed $6 million budget, 30-person department including a 30-well system of groundwater monitoring. 

·         Developed a global environmental and safety reporting system to track audit findings and lead to prompt resolution.

·         Managed environmental affairs for the world’s largest hazardous waste facility: the Emelle TSDF received over 300 truckloads daily (2 billion pounds annually) and was constantly scrutinized by state and federal EPA agencies.

·         Designed and implemented the Emelle facility's first computerized waste-tracking systems to meet compliance, quality control, and sales/marketing needs.

·         Directed division and corporate compliance activities including permitting, inspections, auditing, operating records, air, water and soil media discharges, sampling and analysis, liaison with federal, state and local governments.  Maintained compliance with RCRA, TSCA, CAA, CWA, OSHA, DOT and CERCLA regulations. 

·         Wrote "The Landban Summary" a regulatory guide manual for Chemical Waste Management.  Recipient of the Southern Region's annual compliance honors.

·         Interpreted environmental regulations for developing company policies and procedures for the WMI family of companies (CWM, WMI, Wheelabrator Tech, RUST Engineering, Chem Nuclear, The Brand Company, etc.) 

·         Wrote an expert computer system (RCRA-Logicã) using relational databases and programming to provide real-time, interactive problem solving for RCRA/CERCLA  issues.

·         Provided company liaison with US EPA officials on proposed and final rulemaking
