I've worked in in variety of fields all my life; chemical engineering, information technology, computers, etc.  So I've found that many people are techno-phobic - afraid of any and all technology, especially new technologies or things they don't innately understand.   

When I make a substantial purchase, like a car, house, major appliance, computer, etc. I research it pretty thoroughly, ask people for their advice, check with the experts, use Consumer's Reports, etc., and it seems a waste to just throw that learning away afterwards, so I documented it here.

Here are my tips to common technologies and activities... that you really should learn how to use because they improve the quality of your life by saving you time, money or aggravation, or helping you to be healthier or safer.

Note:  I just started this section, so it will take some time before I get it all done and it will always be growing and being updated.
