Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park in northwest Wyoming, bordering on Idaho and Montana, is one of the most the most amazing and beautiful places on earth. I tried to capture some of that below in some of my photos. What stands out in your mind are the wildlife, the geysers and hot springs, the huge, open scenic beauty of the land and the spectacular beauty of nature. I've put my comments off to the right!

	This bison started off drinking...
	Finished up and headed up the path
	This Bison (there are no "buffalo" in North America, walked right past me!
	The same geyser, off (left), then blowing off some steam (right)
	This hot spring is called "Beauty Pool" for obvious reasons. Mineral deposits such as copper and cobalt cause the colors.
	A bubbling hot spring - off....
	And then on!
	A cone made by years of seeping water and mineral deposits
	A hot bubbling mud spring. Yuck!
	The wooden walkway takes you way out into this huge pool!

	The size is really hard to capture in these photos. Yellowstone Park is about the size of Wales or New Jersey. See the people on the wooden path toward the bottom right?
Notice the moose!	Do you see the moose standing in the water eating plants from the river bottom. You can smell his breath all the way from here!
	Well, the antelope certainly to roam here!
