Guide to Holidays in the United States
Understanding holidays in the USA is easy with this
free color-coded guide. In the US, there are
- official holidays (few people
work),
- official holidays that few people
actually observe (everyone works),
- religious or cultural holidays,
- some unofficial traditional
holidays that people do generally observe by doing something, even if it is
just talking about it, even if they go to work, and
- even some that are made-up,
often invented by companies to make money by selling their products (such as
Hallmark Cards)!
